HOURS OF SERVICE, AGES, ROOM ASSIGNMENTS
We are open Monday thru Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Students are welcome to attend Monday thru Friday up to 10 hours per day with preschool included.
We are licensed to serve 108 children. We serve students ages 18 to 71 months.
All students are assigned to a classroom depending on their age on September 1st of each year. Students are not usually moved to a different classroom until June and/or August of each year.
PICK UP PROCEDURES
In order to pick up a student from school, you must follow these guidelines:
If any person picking up a student is suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or otherwise impaired physically or emotionally, we will ask that someone else be called to pick up the student. If the person insists on taking the student without calling an alternate, we will be forced to call the alternate ourselves and/or the police.
DIVORCE AND CUSTODY ISSUES:
SJDS, nor its staff, will choose sides in cases of divorce or child custody. Our mission is to care for the student. We cannot keep parents from picking up their student from school, even if it is not their visitation day, unless there is a protective order in place preventing the parent from seeing the student. In these cases, a copy of the protective order will be required to be filed with the school.
